NISHIKI is the culmination of Brise Audio's technology in earphone cables, developed to celebrate the company's 10th anniversary.

Since its founding in 2015, Brise Audio has continuously pursued cable development through extensive trial and error and the accumulation of proprietary technologies.
Marking this 10-year milestone, we not only consolidated our past experience but also deliberately explored untested methods and structures to venture into new sonic territories — this is the origin of the NISHIKI cable.

“Nishiki” refers to a luxurious fabric woven with gold and silver threads, traditionally regarded as a symbol of beauty, complexity, and masterful craftsmanship.
True to its name, this model intricately combines multiple metallic materials as if weaving them together, striving to achieve both acoustic excellence and aesthetic value.

The conductor structure is based on Brise Audio’s long-standing 7×7 strand configuration per core, and employs a 8-core braided QuadSpiral structure, totaling 392 strands.
Furthermore, each core contains hybrid strands made from a proprietary blend of copper and silver wires.

By drawing out the spatial transparency of silver and the depth and richness of copper in the low frequencies, we aimed to achieve a harmony and expansiveness in sound that cannot be realized with a single material alone.

Furthermore, all strands are finished with gold plating.
This allows the natural characteristics of the materials to shine through while suppressing excessive sharpness or peakiness, enabling smoother and more natural sound imaging.

In addition, by applying a polyurethane coating—based on Litz wire technology—to each individual strand, the cable prevents conductor oxidation and aging, while significantly contributing to the suppression of the skin effect and improved stability in the high-frequency range.

This series of processes—combining silver and copper in a hybrid structure, gold plating, and polyurethane coating—is being adopted for the first time in a Brise Audio product with NISHIKI.

The connectors feature a newly designed Brise Audio original plug made from a special copper alloy, developed to achieve both high sound quality and structural durability. This plug is based on different materials and design principles than previous Brise Audio products, delivering both exceptional transmission efficiency and contact stability at a high level.

Furthermore, the high-quality sound processing developed exclusively for NISHIKI makes generous use of a new material called “HCNT,” which is currently patent pending.
This material is an advanced evolution of conventional CNT (carbon nanotube) technology and delivers significant benefits in multiple aspects, including noise suppression, control of micro-vibrations, and enhancement of soundstage purity.

NISHIKI is not merely a commemorative model.
In every aspect—materials, structure, and sound processing—NISHIKI represents a fusion of Brise Audio’s accumulated expertise and the latest technological innovations. It is a product developed as a true “challenge” for our team, with the goal of elevating the potential of earphone re-cables to an even higher level.

As a result, a new sound with a distinctly different direction from our previous models was born.

Features of NISHIKI 8-wire

Conductor Structure and Material Design

In NISHIKI, we have adopted a newly developed high-performance, high-purity composite conductor material, based on the technologies Brise Audio has cultivated since its founding.
This conductor offers greater flexibility and responsiveness than conventional high-purity copper conductors, enabling natural sound reproduction across a wide frequency range.

The conductor follows the QuadSpiral structure (7×7 = 49 strands × 8 cores), with each individual strand composed of a proprietary hybrid blend of silver and copper wires. In addition, all strands are treated with gold plating and coated with polyurethane.
This process has dramatically improved the conductor’s overall resistance to oxidation and long-term stability.

The transparency of silver, the strength and richness of copper, and the smoothness brought by gold plating all interact to produce a tone that retains clarity and sharpness while remaining easy on the ears over long listening sessions.
In addition, the polyurethane insulation suppresses the skin effect, contributing to improved attack and clarity in sonic details.

By integrally optimizing all of these elements from the design stage, NISHIKI achieves high information density, excellent spatial representation, and a natural tonal balance.
Based on years of accumulated know-how in sound quality evaluation, we precisely defined the desired sonic direction, which ultimately led to the adoption of this conductor structure.

端子構成と接点技術

In NISHIKI, we have adopted a proprietary Brise Audio original plug, specially developed for our high-end product line.
Both the shell and the plug are made entirely from a special copper alloy.
The shell is precision-machined from solid material, resulting in a refined and luxurious finish.

To accommodate high-quality sound processing, our proprietary thick cables, and 8-wire configurations without compromise, we have prepared two sizes of newly designed shells.
Of course, careful design considerations have also been made to bring the sound quality closer to Brise Audio’s sonic ideals.

Additionally, the cable slider is made from oxygen-free copper (OFC) with a gold-plated finish, featuring a custom design with the NISHIKI name engraved by laser.
This slider is not merely a design accent; it also enhances the stability of the left-right split point, contributing to improved wearing comfort and practical usability.

The connector design, which balances both acoustic performance and visual elegance, is one of the key elements that supports the overall refinement of this product.

製造体制と品質管理

All soldering and sound quality checks for NISHIKI are performed at Brise Audio’s headquarters, and the entire assembly process is carried out in-house at our main workshop in Gunma Prefecture.
By completing all processes in-house without outsourcing any part of the production, we are able to ensure high quality and consistent sound tuning.

What Brise Audio values most in its sound design is “sound quality consistency” and “lack of variation between units.”

To achieve this, we conduct sound quality inspections on each individual unit, even in mass production.

The high-quality sound processing is equivalent to the Ultimate grade, but features custom tuning specifically designed to bring out the best in NISHIKI’s wire material.
In addition, all high-quality sound processing using the premium material “HCNT” is carried out by Brise Audio’s in-house engineering team.

Compared to conventional carbon nanotube materials, HCNT offers significantly higher shielding performance while also achieving a thinner structure. It delivers unprecedented benefits in noise resistance and spatial reproduction.

Its structure and placement have also been optimized through years of prototyping and testing, with detailed adjustments made to its effects across different frequency ranges.

By centrally managing all stages of production within Japan, Brise Audio is able to consistently maintain its intended sonic vision across all product batches.

外装設計と操作性

With NISHIKI, we have focused not only on sound quality and structure, but also on everyday comfort and refined appearance.

The outer jacket uses a special high-performance resin, proven in models like SHIROGANE and AKAGANE, achieving both flexible handling and excellent durability.
With a material design that resists degradation in both cold climates and hot summer conditions, we aimed to create a cable that can be used reliably over the long term.

Its flexibility allows it to follow the user's movements easily, greatly contributing to reduced tangling and improved storability.
While modest in appearance, it features a refined texture that embodies Brise Audio’s signature sense of calm and presence.

Users can choose between L-type and straight-type connectors, allowing them to select the optimal configuration based on their usage environment.

In addition, detailed parts such as the slider and Y-splitter are crafted with careful attention to visibility and usability, with no compromises made in material selection or processing.

Functionality that meets professional demands, combined with a quiet elegance that blends into everyday life — the design of NISHIKI embodies Brise Audio’s philosophy of “perfection as a tool.”
