BSHP for ADX7000 is a dedicated cable that has been tuned from the ground up by thoroughly analyzing the acoustic characteristics of the ATH-ADX7000 and optimizing it in a direction that makes the most of those characteristics.

The ADX7000 has increased low-frequency quantity and a greater sense of air compared to previous models, and it tends to have a tonal balance that leans slightly toward the mid-low range.

In this model, while making use of these characteristics, we designed the sound quality in a direction that compensates for the delicacy of the high frequencies, the extension of overtones, and the smoothness of the edges, and enhances the sense of freshness across the entire frequency range.

Through long-term evaluation using the actual unit, it brings out the ADX7000’s spatial expression and natural balance at a higher level.

BSHP for ADX7000 employs the newly developed “SpiralCore” structure.

This is an evolution of the “Spiral77” structure used in STR7, YATONO, SHIROGANE, and others, and it achieved approximately a 4% reduction in resistance without changing the outer diameter of the cable.

The flexibility is also kept at a level that is sufficiently easy to handle for a headphone cable.

In terms of sound quality, the solid-core wire placed at the center provides a stable, well-defined core to the low frequencies, while the thin stranded wires arranged around it contribute to fine detail and spatial representation.

It achieves a new balance that combines the “strength of a solid wire” and the “fineness of a stranded wire,” which could not be obtained with conventional stranded-wire structures.

As a specific example, while OROCHI in relation to YATONO used a structure that “increased the wire diameter while maintaining the Spiral77 structure,” SpiralCore achieves a more fundamental improvement in the acoustic structure by placing at its center a solid wire with a cross-sectional area approximately six times that of the wire used in OROCHI.

In BSHP for ADX7000, in addition to the evolution of the stranded-wire structure, we also introduced new design elements into the overall structure of the cable.

One of these is the adoption of a “conductor shield.” This is the first attempt for a headphone recable, and it is positioned as an extension of the high-quality sound processing that Brise Audio has been pursuing for many years.

This shield is not connected to GND at the terminals and has a floating structure that blocks only the high-frequency band.

This utilizes the principle in which the inductance of the shield makes low-frequency currents difficult to flow, while at high frequencies eddy currents are generated and block external noise.

It is also possible to shield low frequencies by connecting the shield to GND, but in that case the capacitance with respect to the audio signal increases and the responsiveness decreases. For this reason, this model adopts a “high-frequency shield with GND unconnected,” optimized for the ADX7000.

Furthermore, we also paid close attention to the insulating materials: for the insulation of the “SpiralCore” core wire, we use materials proven in YATONO and OROCHI, and for the outer jacket, we use the flexible translucent material adopted in SHIROGANE and AKAGANE.

It achieves a high-level balance of sound quality, electrical characteristics, flexibility, and appearance.

This model employs numerous high-sound-quality materials that Brise Audio is proud of.

HCNT, newly developed electromagnetic-wave absorbing materials, BS sheets, and other new materials are combined in appropriate locations, and sound-quality processing optimized specifically for the ADX7000 is applied.

In addition, the player-side plug uses Brise Audio’s original special copper-alloy parts of the same quality as the Ultimate grade.

It supports a wide range of specifications such as 4.4 mm, 6.3 mm, 4-pin XLR, and dual 3-pin XLR, and features excellent conductivity, stable contact performance, and high durability.

These components and sound-quality treatments support the high fundamental performance required to bring out the ADX7000’s potential.
