For the signal conductors, it employs a further-developed high-purity, high-performance copper wire material based on the original wire material adopted in YATONO XLR.

In addition, the wiring method has also been redesigned in accordance with the change in wire material, evolving into a specification with superior noise resistance compared with the previous model.

While inheriting the natural musicality of YATONO XLR, AKAGANE XLR aims for a quieter and clearer musical presentation.

The SpiralCore structure is a cable structure designed to achieve both a strong sonic core and the expression of fine detail by re-examining the conductor arrangement and the overall cable structure.

In AKAGANE XLR, this structure has been optimized for use in an XLR interconnect cable, enhancing the stability of signal transmission and the overall level of sound quality refinement.

By combining the new wire material configuration with the SpiralCore structure, it provides the low frequencies with a solid sense of stability while expressing fine information, such as the attack and decay of sounds and the fine definition of space, with greater clarity.

In addition to conventional XLR cables, AKAGANE XLR adds models supporting 4.4 mm balanced connections to its standard lineup.
In addition to the conventional dual 3-pin XLR configuration, the lineup supports a “4.4 mm plug to dual 3-pin XLR male” configuration for connecting portable devices to stationary equipment, and a “dual 3-pin XLR female to 4.4 mm plug” configuration for connecting the XLR outputs of stationary DACs and similar equipment to portable amplifiers and other devices equipped with 4.4 mm inputs.

This enables flexible compatibility not only with connections between home audio components, but also with systems combining portable audio devices and stationary equipment.
